Some writers will tell you that it's not important to understand how this works. They might even say that it's the ego talking when someone tries to explain this to you.
Perhaps they are very smart and perhaps they are right about many things. But, if you have been doing what they tell you to do and it's still not working, perhaps a little information would help your "Certainty?"
Every thing is possible to the extent that you are certain.
Now, this is one of those self-fulfilling prophesies, because when you are certain, you act with persistence. This increases your certainty.
Jesus told us to "believe, and all will be given to you."
Why is this so hard to believe? Because the ego's job is to keep us feeling like frail humans, rather than like powerful gods.
You can Chose to be God, or Not. It is up to You.
We know that God/Universe/Source can perform miracles. We are taught that we were made in the image and likeness of God. Do you see that if you don't believe you can perform miracles that there is a disconnect?
We are made in the image and likeness of God. No one said, "we are made to slightly resemble God," did they? Did you hear someone say, "You are almost God, but not in the important ways"?
You can laugh, but we all behave as if this were true, rather than the absolute truth that we are God. Now, when we are here in this hologram, we are not the whole of God, but a figment of God allowed to experience this mortal life. Some say that to perform miracles, we do so in partnership with God. Others say that we are the sons of God.
This part of the Law of Attraction is not so important to understand as long as you say to yourself, several times a day, "I am God. I can do what God does when I work in partnership with God for the benefit of all." This will insure that you don't attempt to do things that would hurt anyone. There is always a heavy Karmic price for using your creative power to hurt another.
If I Make that Choice, but don't Really Believe?
If you are not disabled, when you decide to pick up a nearby glass of water for a drink, you believe without any doubt that you will be able to do this. Why? It's actually a complicated process, but you have had so much experience with this ability, that you have come to accept that you are easily able to do this.
The Law of Attraction works similarly, but a little backwards. First you must believe, and then you will witness your ability.
Now, little children are able to do perform miracles for a while because they believe in everything, includi the Law of Attraction. Luckily, they are hungry and happy to be with Mom and Dad most of the time they are awake. But, they come into this world in Theta, without any barrier to their unconscious. Because of this, their parents are able to quickly impose limiting beliefs. Pheww. This is actually a good thing.
Little children have strong emotions and could do quite a bit of damage on their way to developing control if it weren't for the limiting beliefs that they learn early on. They learn, "you can't hurt anyone with your thoughts." Do you remember that one?
"Your sister is older, and she can do more than you can." How about that one? If we weren't told that, it wouldn't be true. We are told that we are limited, and then we are.
How do I Get Rid of Limiting Beliefs?
Ho'oponopono and the Seldona Methods are tried and true methods that are simple to learn. They both work to put you in a state of being that does not depend on values or judgements or hierarchy.
As Dr. Hew Len says, once you return to zero (as we were at birth) then everything is possible. Jesus encourages us to become as little children. He didn't mean that we should become dependent and helpless, but that we should become loving, creative and powerful manifestors.
