Holographic Projection Technologies of the Future-The Ghosts Come Alive

The current holographic projection technologies look more like ghosts then real objects, but that will change over time and spectral imaging will allow us to do things with light that we never dreamed possible. We may soon be able to create the perfect world around us, even when it doesn't exist.

Let's say for instance that you live in a high-rise apartment, but unfortunately you live on the wrong side of the building, one which faces the rail yard. The view is very interesting; fun to watch the logistics and distribution occasionally, but it's not really what you'd hoped for.

With holographic projection technologies of the future you could easily project Yellowstone Park out your window. If you went for a walk alone in the park, you might be holding your iPhone, which was also an LED flashlight, a taser, and a holographic projection unit, which could project a dog. Perhaps a Rottweiler, Pit Bull, or German Shepherd and it would look very real.

With spectral imaging and holographic displays, your living room video games would never be the same, you would be surrounded by and immersed within the videogame world without ever leaving your home. Out on the street, a police car might stop to help a stranded motorist that is still in the lane, the policeman will merely flip a switch which would project orange cones, and a traffic cop guiding traffic around the blockage in the middle-of-the-road.

With holographic display technology that is robust, Walmart will save lots of money with a holographic greeter at the door. The hologram will look so real, no one will really know the difference until they get up close. Our holograms of the future will bring ghosts alive. Please consider all this.
